We ruled out most of these options pretty quickly due to either size or price and availability. They may or may not be available at the time you read this. That being said they are all amazing-looking Clamshell / Wedge Style Roof Top Tents worth considering.

The Roofnest Falcon XL is Roofnest’s flagship hard shell rooftop tent. We chose this model over others listed primarily for the length and it’s having the largest Interior Dimension.

The Bush Company Alpha Clamshell Rooftop Tent has specs and features not available on other RTTs making it unique in this list. Although, it is much heavier than others! Maybe not the best for the top of a van.

Outer Tents – Quality Outdoor Equipment to Keeping You Outside

The Outer Tents Osprey Slimline looks almost identical to the SMRT Tent and very similar to the Falcon. At a price that looks too good to be true.

Since researching, Thule Tepui Hybox Wedge has been Recalled. Even so, we will include it as this was a hot contender during our selection. Mainly for the fact it can have the tent fabric removed for use as an XL roof Cargo Box.
