A growler is a great way to ensure you are drinking enough water. It keeps your water cold or hot all day ready to keep your thirst quenched.

Frozen Water

Growing up in one of the most consistently hot parts of Australia, freezing your water bottles is common practice. In the Canadian winter, however, if you start the day with frozen water, you are going to get pretty thirsty.

My search for a decent Growler started with the problem of keeping my water from freezing. If you forget to bring in your water bottle at night. The next day it is frozen.

Finding The Right Growler

I had been looking for a decently priced insulated growler for some time. A couple of years ago I purchased a MEC branded stainless steel growler, this one is ok, and I would have just purchased another one of these, but they have been discontinued and are no longer available. And so the search continues.

Finding The Coleman Growler

I always make it a habit to browse the camping aisle whenever I am at Walmart, and this Is where I found two Coleman Growlers with a fantastic discount! You can get them on Amazon and still at a decent price. I definitely recommend this insulated stainless steel growler for water or whatever you want to put in it🍻

Things I Like:

The lid is easy to get in and off. It has a hinged lid tether that allows the lid to flip out of the way.
It has a Rubber bottom which makes for a softer landing when you place the bottle down.
The handle makes it easy to poor.

Things I Don’t Like:

It is Black. So when outside on a sunny day it does not keep water cold as long as advertised.

Pre-Heated Water

Before we head out on an adventure we will often fill one growler with hot water. This cuts down on time and energy use when making a quick cup of tea or coffee.
