Scopema RIB Altair 3P Unboxing

The decision to install the Scopema RIB Altair 3P Bed/Seat system was easy to make. The three main criteria for choosing this seat over other seat options were as follows.

1. Safety. First of all, this seat will be were my kids ride in the van so safety was my number one priority when choosing what seat manufacturer I would use.  Scopema builds the Altair 3P to strict European standards. Also, the seat has a three-point harness system, integrated headrests as well as the ISOFIX points for mounting a child seat. Big tick.
2. Comfort. The seat needed to be comfortable for long distance travel with the bed function of the seat comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Scopema has really excelled with the design of this seat. This seat is meticulously constructed with premium fabrics. Also, the contouring of the cushions looks nice and the mattress has what Scopema calls 3D mattress overlay. This will soften the sleeping surface as well as allow the mattress to breathe.
3. Functionality.  The final point is easily ticked off by this convertible three-seater bench seat, with Scopema really raising the bar here. Firstly, the space underneath the seat is perfect for storage. Also, the back section of the bed can be used as a parcel shelf. Finally, the seat folds flat in seconds.

You will need access to a commercial shipping dock if you order one of these, the box is quite large. Shipping weight is 129KG.
